Empowering Public Servants on Artificial intelligence and Digital Technology

Public sector institutions worldwide are experiencing a paradigm shift with the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, transforming service delivery, policy formulation, and citizen engagement. As part of our work facilitating improved public service delivery, we recently partnered with Philips Consulting to host an impactful upskilling event for public servants who make up our Alumni Association. Themed “Improving Public Service Delivery through the Use of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology,” this initiative equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills for leveraging AI tools within their respective organisations), fostering a culture of innovation that will ultimately transform public service delivery across the continent.

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, public sector institutions must embrace innovation to meet the increasing demands of citizens. Some public servants already leading this transformation in their Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) were further empowered to harness the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies.

Our recent upskilling event, titled “Improving Public Service Delivery through the Use of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology,” convened our alumni to delve into the latest advancements in AI and their practical applications in enhancing public service delivery. Participants engaged in dynamic sessions that provided valuable insights into how AI can automate tasks, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency in public institutions. They explored the power of data analytics for informed, evidence-based decision-making and discussed the critical role of digital tools in fostering citizen engagement and transparency.

By equipping public servants who make up our alumni group with these essential skills, we are not only empowering them to drive innovation within their organisations but also enhancing service delivery and citizen satisfaction across the board. This initiative fosters a culture of data-driven decision-making and strengthens collaboration among public sector stakeholders.

As AI continues to reshape our world, the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation Alumni Association remains committed to staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
