Developing Leaders in Government
Outstanding public services require exceptional leaders.
In Partnership with University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government.
We help to empower current and future public sector leaders with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in transforming the public sector.
We do this through programmes designed to build the capacity of Africa's future leaders:
The AIG Scholarship provides a unique opportunity for exceptional Nigerian public servants to pursue a Master of Public Policy degree at the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government in the UK.
The AIG Public Leaders Programme is delivered by faculty from the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government and helps emerging African public sector leaders develop their skills and knowledge to implement and influence positive change within their organisations.
AIG Fellowships provide established public leaders with an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of policy implementation at the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government with an expectation of practical impact in the Nigeria policy landscape.
In addition to offering our own programmes, we also support the training initiatives of the Nigerian Federal Civil Service:
Leadership Enhancement and Development Programme (LEAD-P): working with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), we help to deliver a programme of high-quality training to mid-level federal civil servants to improve their managerial and leadership competencies.
The AIG Senior Leaders Programme is curated specifically for Nigeria’s Federal Permanent Secretaries. Previous sessions have focused on effective communication, managing change and transition, and leading for impact.
Custom Training: we also organise and deliver custom training to meet specific capacity needs of civil servants across Nigeria. These training are usually requested by the leadership of the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA).
