The 2024 Emily Aig-Imoukhuede Awards for Public Sector Excellence

Partnering with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service

In furtherance of our commitment to improving lives across Africa through public service transformation, we have partnered with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation to support the implementation of the Federal Strategy and Implementation Plan for Civil Service Reform 2025. One of the key pillars of the plan is delivering an "Enhanced Value Proposition for Civil Servants." As part of our support for this pillar, we established the Emily Aig-Imoukhuede Memorial Endowment Fund, which provides annual cash prizes of NGN500,000.00 to the country’s top-performing federal civil servants. The awards recognise outstanding civil servants who have exhibited exceptional performance and dedication in their roles. They also foster a culture of excellence within the Civil Service by inspiring other civil servants to be more dedicated in their work.

The Memorial Endowment Fund, which was established in 2022, honours the legacy of the late Pastor Emily Aig-Imoukhuede, a champion for public service and social good. This year, awards were given to 39 deserving civil servants, who were recognised during the Gala and Awards Night of the 2024 Nigeria Civil Service Week. This brings the total number of recipients of the Emily Aig-Imoukhuede Memorial Award for Public Sector Excellence to 112 since its inception.
