Accelerate Action: Empowering Women to Transform Public Service Delivery
This International Women’s month, we are proud to have amplified the voices of women making impact in the public sector.
We hosted an insightful Webinar titled “Accelerating Action: Transforming public service,” at which female public sector leaders, who are part of our alumni association, led the discussion on the public service in Africa and women’s representation in it. The discussion was moderated by Ifeyinwa Okafor, Manager/ Team Lead, National Data Repository, Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, joined by panelists, Dr Tina Isichei, Director (R&D), Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State; Halima Usman, Head, Program Management Division/Assistant Director, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS); Oyebola Oyewo, Assistant Director/ Head, Corporate Affairs Unit, Nigerian Copyright Commission; and Rashidat Umar, Deputy Director and Head of Education and Engagement Unit, Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development.
Additionally, we conducted a series of interviews spotlighting the work of some of the exceptional female public servants from our alumni association. They shared their stories, struggles and successes in their roles as female public sector leaders.
