Did you know that while 85% of Nigeria's healthcare facilities are primary healthcare centres, only about 20% of them are functional? Research also reveals a critical shortage of essential equipment, medicines, and healthcare professionals in these facilities. We believe a healthy population is crucial for a thriving society and so in our third podcast episode, "Improving Healthcare Access in Nigeria: Can Public-Private Partnerships Bridge the Gap?”" we explore the potential of public-private partnerships to transform healthcare access in Nigeria and across Africa.

We are joined by guests Dr Ola Brown, the founder of Flying Doctors Nigeria, and Dr Tinuola Akinbolagbe, CEO/MD of the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria. Together, we delve into critical issues including the current state of healthcare coverage and access in Nigeria, the role of government in addressing healthcare challenges and fostering PPPs, strategies for encouraging private and philanthropic organisations to contribute, and some viable financing models for improved healthcare delivery.

Tune in to learn more about how public-private partnerships can revolutionise healthcare access in Nigeria and beyond.
